Made using a 3D printer.
The machine prints the bread bums in 0.01mm layers, and a special program is used to assign a colour to every layer, as well as to create the 3D model of the bread bums.
Layering colours allows you to sometimes even mix colours together because of how translucent the thin layers are.
We used various tools to enhance the images as well as photoshop tools to optimize the designs for 3D printing.
Once they were done, we made sure there weren’t any defects and a heat gun was used very briefly on each piece to remove stringing and give it a smoother finish.
