In these terms, “Long Dog”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Kerrie Muldoon CC, trading as Long Dog. “You” and “your” mean a visitor to the website or a customer placing an order.

2. About Long Dog
Long Dog is an online shop for people who love Dachshunds, dogs and cats. It began in 2014, inspired by Kerrie’s Dachshund, Lulu, and her recovery from a spinal injury. Lulu’s sister Mitzi remained part of the story, and Long Dog has since grown beyond Dachshund-themed products to include gifts and collectables featuring other dogs and feline friends.
About 95% of the range is printed, handmade or crafted by local South African artists and companies. About 5% is imported. Product descriptions will identify relevant product details where applicable.
3. Using the website
You agree to use the website lawfully and not to interfere with its operation, security or other users’ access. You must provide accurate information when placing an order and keep your contact and delivery details current until the order is complete.
We may update website content, product listings or these terms from time to time. The terms that apply to an order are the terms displayed when you place that order, subject to any rights you have under applicable law.
4. Products and product information
We aim to display product descriptions, prices, photographs and other information accurately. Handmade, crafted and printed products may have small variations in colour, finish, dimensions or appearance. Product photographs may also look different depending on your screen. We will describe material variations or other significant limitations where relevant.

5. Prices, delivery charges and payment
Prices are shown in South African rand (ZAR), unless stated otherwise. The price and any delivery charge applicable to your order will be shown before you submit it.
Available payment methods: Credit or Debit Card and EFT
Payment is processed through the method selected at checkout. We do not receive or store full card details where these are processed by an external payment provider.
If a price or other material listing detail appears to be incorrect, contact us. If we cannot fulfil an order at the displayed price, we will contact you before proceeding and explain the available options, including cancellation and a refund where appropriate.
6. Placing and accepting an order
When you submit an order, you are making an offer to buy the selected products. We will send an electronic acknowledgement to the email address you provide. An acknowledgement confirms that we received the order; it does not necessarily mean we have accepted it.
We will notify you if an item is unavailable or if we cannot fulfil your order. If payment has already been taken for an order we cannot fulfil, we will arrange a refund of the amount paid for the affected order or item.

8. Cancellations, returns and refunds
Nothing in these terms limits a right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act or other applicable law.
For qualifying online transactions, ECTA provides a right to cancel without reason within seven days after receiving goods, subject to statutory exceptions. The consumer may be responsible for the direct cost of returning goods under that right. 9. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, website text, branding, product photographs and other website materials are owned by or used with permission by Long Dog or the relevant rights holder. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute or commercially use those materials without prior permission, except as allowed by law.
Products may feature work by independent South African artists or other rights holders. Buying a product does not transfer copyright or other intellectual property rights in its design or artwork.
10. Website availability and links
We aim to keep the website available and its information current, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access or that every page will always be error-free. The website may link to third-party websites or services. Those third parties operate under their own terms and privacy practices.
11. Liability and consumer rights
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, or removes a consumer right that cannot lawfully be waived. Subject to that, and to the extent the law permits, Long Dog is not responsible for losses caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, or by a customer’s misuse of a product contrary to its instructions.
If you believe a product is defective, unsafe or not as described, contact us as soon as reasonably possible at info@longdog.co.za. This does not affect any rights or remedies available under the CPA or other law.
12. Privacy
We handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection law, including the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). The privacy policy explains what information we collect, why we use it and how to contact us about it. POPIA
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. This clause does not prevent a consumer from relying on applicable consumer-protection rights or remedies.
